Philippines' first Westin property takes shape with concrete pouring

[The Philippines Star] MANILA, Philippines — Anticipation for the first-ever Westin-branded residential and mixed-use development in Southeast Asia is building up after the initial concrete pouring for Robinsons Luxuria's The Westin Manila Sonata Place and The Residences at the Westin Manila Sonata Place in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.

Robinsons Land officials and construction partners joined the ceremony led by engineer Emmanuel Arce, the company's vice president for project management. Companies involved in the project are Andres Balanak Bolanos & Associates, Datem Incorporated and W.V. Coscolluela and Associates.

The event showcased a sneak preview of the edifice, which is set to rise along San Miguel corner Lourdes Street in Ortigas Center, a premier lifestyle hub in Metro Manila.

The Westin property's versatile location allows easy access to commercial shopping centers (Robinsons Galleria, Shangri-La Mall, and SM Megamall), educational institutions (The Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, University of Asia & the Pacific, and Saint Pedro Poveda College), medical facilities (Medical Plaza and Medical City Hospital), places of worships (St. Francis of Assisi Church and EDSA Shrine) and major corporate headquarters (San Miguel Corporation, HP Philippines, ADB, and Robinsons Land Corporation).
