Date:2015/06/11
PETALING JAYA (June 9): Malton Bhd and Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd unveiled its RM1.5 billion Bukit Jalil City integrated development in Kuala Lumpur today. The project will cover 50 acre.
"Bukit Jalil City is divided into four major components, which are 3 and 5-storey Signature Retail Offices, 44 units of 2 and 3-storey Park Point Retail and 1,098 units of luxury apartments known as The Park Sky Residence @ Bukit Jalil. The final component will be the iconic Pavilion Bukit Jalil Regional Shopping Mall," said Malton executive director Hong Lay Chuan in a press statement.
The Pavilion Bukit Jalil will be the largest mall in the Southern Corridor of Klang Valley that will offer two million sq ft of retail space across five levels and over 6,000 parking bays. It is expected to complete in 2018.
“Retail planning requires not only the hardware but also the software that personalises a shopping mall,” said Pavilion’s retail planner Joyce Yap at the press conference today.
“A good team with trace management record, sustainable management and operational practices, aggressive marketing and leasing is needed to stay ahead of the competition. I am very excited with our team of dedicated industry professionals, who have worked cohesively to manage and operate Pavilion KL, and they will now share their experience for Pavilion Bukit Jalil.”
The Park Sky Residence features partly-furnished serviced apartments with 2 and 3 bedroom and dual-key unit layouts. It has a built-up ranging from 868 sq ft to 1,565 sq ft and selling from an average of RM775 psf. The residential component is expected to launch in September 2015 and expected to complete in 2019.
The 112-unit retail offices were fully sold in April last year, while the 44 units of retail shops beneath The Park Sky Residence will be managed by Malton Bhd.
Bukit Jalil City is located along Bukit Jalil Highway and within 5km from various landmarks such as the International Medical University, Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort and Asian Football Confederation.
Malton said the project will also benefit from a new Awan Besar LRT station (Line 2), which Prasarana Malaysia Bhd told theedgeproperty.com that it will be operational by October this year.
“We believe that these four components will be the catalyst to transform Bukit Jalil into a more dynamic and vibrant township with excellent connectivity to KL city centre and Petaling Jaya, conveniently linked through a network of highways includeing light rapid transit services, which will be supported by a new flyover soon,” added Hong.
