Housing Developers In Negeri Sembilan Must Register With Special Portal

Date:2015/02/05

SEREMBAN -- All developers of housing projects in Negeri Sembilan must register with a special portal which would be set up by the state government soon, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

He said the special portal operated by the Local Government Housing Unit or State Economic Planning Unit would become a one-stop centre for people to find and purchase Bumiputera housing lots offered in the state.

"This special portal will collect information on each Bumiputera lot which has been built, being built and will be built. So, it's easy for anyone wanting to buy a house. Just enter the portal and look for available Bumiputera housing lots that can be purchased, and the transaction can be done directly.

"With the existence of this special portal, developers in Negeri Sembilan are to register their respective Bumiputera lots to facilitate Bumiputera buyers to get information," he told reporters after chairing a state executive council meeting, here, Wednesday.

In addition, he said, the portal would also provide an opportunity for developers to market their Bumiputera lots, which were said to be difficult to sell.

In another development, Mohamad warned civil servants not to use the media to make contradictory statements on state government policies.

"If there is anything about these policies that are not clear or difficult to understand, do not resort to making a press statement. Consult with me or the State Secretary for clarification," he said.
