Pemandu To Finalise Study On Land Use Along Klang/Gombak Rivers

Date:2014/11/18

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) will finalise a study on land use in areas facing the Klang and Gombak rivers in the next six months.

Its Director of Greater Kuala Lumpur, National Key Economic Area Mohd Azharuddin Mat Sah said Pemandu would be engaging property developers once the study is finalised to chart the next course of action.

"We have not been actively engaging the property developers yet because the government has frozen the land," he told reporters after an industry talk on "Banking on the River Of Life -- Business and Opportunities" organised by Pemandu Friday.

He added that the government was on track to revitalise the Klang and Gombak rivers under the Economic Transformation Programme's ambitious River of Life project worth RM4.4 billion.
